About TheBikerCurt

Advanced rider, road safety advocate, and Emergency Services professional.

Who Am I?

I'm Curt — better known online as TheBikerCurt. I've been riding motorcycles since I was 17, and at 29, two wheels are as much a part of my life as breathing. What started as a means of freedom quickly became a genuine passion — not just for the thrill of riding, but for doing it properly, safely, and to the highest possible standard.

By day I work in the Emergency Services within the UK Ambulance Service, a role that has reinforced my belief that road safety isn't just a box to tick — it saves lives. Every advanced riding skill I've developed, every hazard I've learned to read earlier, every braking distance I've improved — those things matter out there on real roads.

Advanced Riding & Road Safety

I'm a firm believer that getting your licence is just the beginning. That's why I've pursued formal advanced rider qualifications through two of the UK's most respected organisations:

RoSPA ROADaR
Gold
Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents
BMF Blue Riband
Gold
British Motorcycle Federation

Achieving Gold in both schemes represents the highest level awarded — recognising consistently safe, systematic, and skilful motorcycle riding. These assessments are conducted by qualified examiners and based on the principles of Roadcraft, the police rider's handbook.

The Road Ahead

I'm currently working towards becoming a qualified advanced riding tutor, so that I can pass on the skills and mindset that have made me a safer, more confident rider. Whether you're a newly qualified rider or an experienced biker looking to develop, advanced rider training is one of the best investments you can make.

This website — and my YouTube and TikTok channels — are where I document life on two wheels. Ride-outs, routes, road safety discussions, and everything in between. No click-bait, no dangerous riding — just honest content from a rider who cares about doing it right.
